After finding out that we were expecting our first baby, I couldn’t wait to begin putting together the nursery! I wanted to wait an appropriate amount of time before making final decisions and purchasing items, so I bided my excitement with room mood boards and pinterest boards.
While neither of these designspiration boards {did I just make that word up?} will become a reality in the Hall Home {more on that below}, they were such fun to put together that I thought I would share!
NURSERY DESIGN OPTION ONE:
BRIGHT & BOLD BABY NURSERY
My inspiration for our baby’s nursery began with this blue and coral Hygge & West Daydream wallpaper by Julia Rothman. Bright and bold yet amazingly gender neutral (in my opinion). I love this print and its fun colors and was able to pull together my initial ideas and plans for the room almost instantly!

NURSERY DESIGN OPTION TWO:
LIGHT & WHITE BABY NURSERY
Calm, soothing and as beautiful as a new baby. The alter-ego of my Bright & Bold Baby Nursery inspiration was centered around the same Hygge & West Julia Rothman Daydream wallpaper but in the more gentle Green colorway. Green, an all-time favorite color of mine {and hue that is commonly regarded as ‘gender neutral’ …rolls eyes….} paired with bright whites and creams would create a light and airy space perfect for any tiny human. Keeping with the same elements for the nursery, I switched gears and softened the decor with these pieces:

So, as it turns out… the wall that we wanted to wallpaper was a whopping 6ish inches too large for us to be able to use 1 roll of the Hygge & West Julia Rothman Daydream wallpapers. We just couldn’t justify purchasing another roll of $150 paper to cover 6ish inches. So with seriously saddened hearts {for real though…!} we said goodbye to our wallpaper dreams and have moved on to another design element for the main wall in the nursery. {BTW…this. changes. everything.}
New ‘designspiration board’ coming soon….!
